Net-Metering in Cyprus allows individuals and businesses generating electricity through photovoltaic (PV) panels to offset their electricity bills. When the electricity produced exceeds consumption,
the surplus is credited toward the next bill. Conversely, if consumption exceeds production, the difference is billed accordingly.

Net-Metering PV systems can be installed on residential or commercial properties, subject to specific conditions. For systems connected to a 1-phase power supply, the maximum capacity is 4.16 kW, while 3-phase systems can go up to 10.4 kW. Installations are permitted on the roof or ground of a licensed property, provided they comply with regulations.
For apartment buildings, installation of PV panels requires unanimous agreement from all residents.
